About me

When I entered the spa and wellness industry in the early 1990s, terms like “spa” and “wellness” in Germany still lacked meaning and substance.

I saw this as my opportunity: to lay the foundation for a spa culture built on effectiveness, transparency, quality, and economic viability.

​

For over 25 years now, I’ve been accompanying the exclusive spa world of Europe - with deep expertise and a clear understanding of operational structures. My foundation? A degree from a state-recognized school of cosmetology in Frankfurt. A decision that still shapes my work today - because only those who understand the basics and bring hands-on operational experience can create true quality with credibility, instead of just presenting concepts on paper.

My path led me from Frankfurt to New York, to the legendary Bliss Spa, and then on to spa projects in Spain and the Balearic Islands. In 2005, I joined the pre-opening team of A-ROSA Travemünde, where I was responsible for a 4,500 m² original thalasso center with 28 treatment rooms and 45 employees. In 2010, I developed the award-winning SPA-ROSA Sylt and also took over its operational leadership.
Later, as Director of Spa & Health, I assumed strategic and financial responsibility for all four spa areas of the A-ROSA Resorts - covering a total of 16,000 m². I was entrusted with developing new products, brands, rituals, and training programs for around 100 SPA-ROSA experts—a role that inspired and shaped me deeply.

I travelled extensively across Europe before I met the founder of Weissenhaus in 2015. His vision was to transform a historic village by the sea in Schleswig-Holstein into a remarkable luxury retreat. A mystery check brought me to the newly opened resort – and fundamentally changed my life and the direction of my professional journey.

What followed was a unique opportunity to shape, position and lead Weissenhaus operationally as its Director – together with my husband Frank Nagel. This experience was not only outstanding in every respect, but also deeply fulfilling and successful. My commitment to the project continued with passion until the end of 2025.

​

At the same time, I had the honour of serving as one of just twenty board members in one of the world’s most prestigious hotel associations – contributing to the international strategy for 600 Relais & Châteaux member properties across 60 countries.

After a decade, I have now let go of Weissenhaus to fully return to my entrepreneurial path. I look forward to new challenges, inspiring projects and meaningful encounters – bringing with me over 25 years of international experience in the luxury hospitality industry.
